Below are additional parametric plan studies derived from the constraints established in the previous post. Each ellipse demonstrates both an interior and exterior divided by a variable thickness wall / membrane. Both interior and exterior transform in size as the animation loop cycles through a range of variations.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking the next iteration might use different rotational speeds for each driving circle, thereby creating spaces in-between that are almost never the same.

ReplyDeleteYou're spot on. In addition, each circle within the drivetrain could contain a variable diameter constraint, further influencing the output. I'll give this a shot.
